    Alter Ego V1#4 (Alter Ego Enterprises, 1962) Condition: VF. Jerry Bails was one among the first comic book fans to take up producing "fanzines" devoted to superhero comics. This issue was the first to use offset printing with color. It also features the fan-voted winners of the 1961 Alley Awards (big winner: Flash #123 and its "Flash of Two Worlds"), plus an in-depth look at MLJ heroes, a review of the 1943 Batman and Robin movie serial, and a Jack Kirby sketch of the Thing, done just for this 'zine.
