Savage Tales #1 (Marvel, 1971) Condition: VG/FN. The origin and first appearance of Man-Thing (art by Gray Morrow). Inside the issue there is an adaption of "The Frost-Giant's Daughter" by Robert E. Howard (with Barry Smith art), which was the first appearance of Conan outside of his own comic. John Buscema painted the cover image and also drew the Ka-Zar story. Additional story art by Gene Colan and John Romita Sr. Moisture damage and staining on back cover. Overstreet 2024 VG 4.0 value = $114; FN 6.0 value = $171. From the Eau Claire Collection.
