Description

Savage Tales #1 (Marvel, 1971) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white to white pages. The origin and first appearance of Man-Thing (art by Gray Morrow). Contains an adaptation of the short story "The Frost-Giant's Daughter" by Robert E. Howard (with Barry Windsor-Smith art), which was the first appearance of Conan outside of his own comic. John Buscema painted the cover image and also drew the Ka-Zar story. Additional story art by Gene Colan and John Romita Sr. Overstreet 2026 VF 8.0 value = $400. CGC census 6/26: 85 in 7.5, 506 higher.
