Wham Comics #1 Denver pedigree (Centaur, 1940) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. Centaur, famous for their many titles produced during the late 1930s, including Detective Picture Stories and Funny Pages, produced this comic at the height of 1940's superhero boom, featuring "64 fast action pages" of the Sparkler, Speed Centaur and Detecto. This copy came from the famous Denver collection of #1 issues, and appears perfect. Outside of a very light dust shadow on the back cover, there are few defects that can be seen through the case. It's the highest graded copy on CGC's census report, and could very well be the best existing in the world. Overstreet 2002 NM 9.4 value = $1,750.
