Description

Cowboy Comics #13 Billy Wright pedigree (Centaur, 1938) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white to white pages. There are just two issues of Cowboy Comics, and incredibly, we had never offered either of them before today, nor had CGC certified a single copy of either! So we certainly see why Overstreet calls #13 "rare" and Gerber gave it a scarcity rating of "8."
This was a single-theme comic back when very few such comics were published. The release date is just one month after Action #1, a time when Centaur was publishing more titles than DC was. The reason for the #13 is that Cowboy was an entitling of Star Ranger, and with #15, the title was changed again to Star Ranger Funnies. Also note this issue's neat-o Centaur logo which the publisher did not use very often. Overstreet 2011 VG 4.0 value = $270; FN 6.0 value = $405. CGC census 2/12: 1 in 5.0, none higher.
