Weird Mysteries #2 (Gillmor, 1952) CGC VG 4.0 Cream to off-white pages. Bernard Baily proved with the cover art to this issue that he could produce grotesque imagery with the best of them. The interior is a gruesome classic as well, with an acid-in-the-face panel, and "Robot Woman" by Basil Wolverton. This book is the epitome of the greatness of pre-Code horror, since it is by a small publisher who probably received poor distribution, and it pushed all the boundaries of decency. Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $105; FN 6.0 value = $315. From the collection of Bobby Harmon.
