Our Fighting Forces #1 (DC, 1954) CGC FN+ 6.5 Cream to off-white pages. This is the first time we had ever seen this first issue of one of the "big five" DC war titles, a book that remained in publication for almost a quarter of a century. And this is one of the best copies yet certified -- the only two above it on CGC's census as of this writing are just half a notch higher at 7.0. Jerry Grandenetti drew the cover and the lead story, and there's also interior art by Irv Novick, Arthur Peddy, and George Papp. Overstreet 2005 FN 6.0 value = $276; VF 8.0 value = $782.
