G.I. Combat #1 (Quality, 1952) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white pages. A tough book in any grade, Gerber rates it a "7" or "scarce" on their Scarcity Index. The war series ran for almost 35 years, switching to DC Comics after a few years at Quality. Reed Crandall did the hard-hitting cover of this first issue. Overstreet 2020 FN 6.0 value = $483; VF 8.0 value = $1,030. CGC census 9/20: 2 in 6.5, 1 higher.
