    Valor #1 (EC, 1955) CGC NM- 9.2 White pages. Just a super copy that ranks with the famous Gaines File copies in appearance and condition. The title would run for only five issues, even with the terrific art provided by the likes of Wally Wood, Graham Ingels, Bernie Krigstein, and Al Williamson. The spectre of the Comics Code Authority, coming with the next issue, and censorship in general pushed Bill Gaines into a corner he couldn't abide and he abandoned his "New Direction" before it really even got started. Overstreet 2002 NM 9.4 value = $310. From the collection of Bobby Harmon.
