    Description

The Human Torch #4 (#3) (Timely, 1941) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages. Golden Age comics don't get much prettier than this -- it's an early wartime Timely sporting an Alex Schomburg cover -- and copies don't get much nicer than this! Only eight copies have scored better CGC grades, and none higher than VF/NM 9.0. The origin of the Patriot is in a text feature inside, where you'll also find story art from Carl Burgos, Bill Everett (his last Sub-Mariner in the title), and Sid Greene. Brilliant cover inks are the hallmark of this exciting copy! Overstreet 2014 VF 8.0 value = $3,475. CGC census 8/14: 6 in 8.0, 8 higher.
