    The Haunt of Fear #23 Gaines File pedigree 8/12 (EC, 1954). An outstanding cover from "Ghastly" Graham Ingels highlights this classic EC horror comic, so gruesome it was singled out by Frederick Wertham in Seduction of the Innocent. Even better, this is the #8 (of 12) copy from the Gaines File, making it one of the best known examples of this particular Haunt. Noticeable flaws include a crease in the lower left corner, and some light spine stress. CGC VF+ 8.5 White pages. Overstreet 2001 FN 6.0 values = $57; NM 9.4 value = $210.
