    Tales From the Crypt #31 Gaines File pedigree (EC, 1952) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages. A simply stunning copy, taken from publisher Bill Gaines' personal stash of ECs. Includes Al Williamson's first art for EC, plus a Jack Kamen story in which the EC staff appears as characters. The issue also has art by Jack Davis and Graham Ingels. Used in Parade of Pleasure. Please note that although CGC has recognized this copy as being from the Gaines collection, no certificate of authenticity accompanies the book. Overstreet 2010 NM- 9.2 value = $840. CGC census 1/11: 3 in 9.8, none higher.
