Superman #14 (DC, 1942) CGC VF+ 8.5 White pages. For those of you who missed out on the beautiful 8.5 copy of #14 that we just had in our November Signature sale, here's a chance to grab one that's just as nice! We want to stress that this is not the same copy being re-offered, but another exceptional copy that just so happened to come our way! Overstreet notes that this patriotic shield cover by Fred Ray is a classic, and we couldn't agree more! This is a high grade for this black-covered issue, that's rarely seen in grades above FN/VF 7.0. In fact, only six other copies top this gorgeous offering to date. To set the time frame for production of this early Super-issue, the book contains an ad for Sensation Comics #1 (Wonder Woman's second appearance). Leo Nowak and John Sikela art. Overstreet 2014 VF 8.0 value = $4,935; VF/NM 9.0 value = $8,718. CGC census 12/14: 5 in 8.5, 6 higher. From the Estate of William J. Miller.
