Wow Comics #nn (#1) Rockford Pedigree (Fawcett Publications, 1940) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. Origin of Mr. Scarlet and the first mention of Gotham City in a comic book are highlights of this cool issue, not to mention a Mr. Scarlet bondage cover by C. C. Beck, and art by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Rated a Gerber "7" or "scarce." Atom Blake and Boy Wizard stories begin here. CGC notes, "Small amount of dried glue on spine of cover." One of the top two CGC-graded copies! The highest-graded copy we have seen in more than a decade. Overstreet 2019 FN 6.0 value = $4,200; VF 8.0 value = $10,800. CGC census 8/19: 1 in 7.0, 1 higher.
