World's Finest Comics #9 (DC, 1943) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. Here's one of the highlights of this high-grade run, it's the sole highest-graded copy as of this writing. Hitler, Tojo, and Mussolini are featured on this Jack Burnley cover. A Boy Commandos story with Simon and Kirby art is the standout feature. While Batman and Superman appeared in separate stories in this and every issue, the Caped Crusader does put in a cameo in the Star-Spangled Kid story, as do Robin and the Joker! Alas, this was the last of the 100-page issues (if it's any consolation, they were all just 96-pagers anyway if you don't count the covers!). Note that a small plastic stabilizing peg is loose inside the CGC holder, not affecting the comic itself or the integrity of the holder. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $1,275; VF/NM 9.0 value = $2,013. CGC census 3/06: 1 in 8.5, none higher. From the Collection of Harold Curtis.View all of [The Harold Curtis Collection ]
