World's Finest Comics #2 (DC, 1941) CGC VF 8.0 Off-white to white pages. The series World's Finest had a run of over 40 years, and this was the very first issue with that name (#1 having borne the title World's Best). Since this title means "Superman and Batman" to every comic fan, you've no doubt guessed that the two of them are on hand. But there's much more in this 96-pager, including patriotic trio Red, White, and Blue, that Detective Comics stalwart the Crimson Avenger, accidental superhero Johnny Thunder, and Zatara the Magician among many others. The cover is by Fred Ray. And guess what-- this may well be the world's finest copy of the issue -- it's tied with only one other copy for the highest grade CGC has assigned for the book to date.
