    Description

Whiz Comics #25 (Fawcett, 1941) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white pages. Outside of the first issue of Fawcett's flagship title, this one's the most valuable because it has the origin and first appearance of Captain Marvel Jr. It also marked the first time in comics that a story was continued in a different title. The origin of Shazam is presented in a text story. C. C. Beck did the cover and provided interior art as did Mac Raboy. Overstreet 2011 VF 8.0 value = $4,350; VF/NM 9.0 value = $7,675. CGC census 8/11: 1 in 8.5, 2 higher.
