Description

The Spirit #22 (Quality, 1950) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. The classic femme fatale cover (featuring Skinny Bones), by the great Will Eisner, was used in the New York Legislature committee's investigation of the effects of comic book sex and violence on juvenile delinquency, during the 1950s. This was the last issue of the title, and is also one of the scarcest of the run. To date just one other copy of #22 (the Mile High copy) has earned a higher grade from CGC. Overstreet 2022 NM- 9.2 value = $15,000. CGC census 11/22: 1 in 9.6, 1 higher.
