The Human Torch #8 (Timely, 1942) CGC Apparent VF+ 8.5 Slight (A) Off-white pages. This is a very pretty copy. While CGC gave this its "amateur restoration" designation, from outside the slab it appears any work was done quite skillfully -- have a look at our scan and judge for yourself. This is a Human Torch vs. Sub-Mariner battle issue, with a dynamic cover by Alex Schomburg that at least equals, if not tops, his effort for the heroes' first slugfest in Marvel Mystery #9. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: small amount of color touch on cover, cover cleaned."
