Description

Target Comics #10 (Novelty Press, 1940) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Cream to off-white pages. This amazing cover by Joe Simon (so says Overstreet and CGC) should dispel any notion that he couldn't work without Jack Kirby. Of course, if you believe The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books, the cover artist is Kirby! This comic book from 1940 had the origin and first appearance of the Target, which, considering the name of the title here, has to be one of the most fortuitous coincidences in comic book history. And you thought it was contrived? This copy is one of only two unrestored copies of issue #10 that CGC has certified to date, and seems an undervalued bargain. Overstreet 2003 VG 4.0 value = $382; FN 6.0 value = $573. From the Compleat Kirby Comic Collection.
