Superman #5 (DC, 1940) CGC Apparent VG/FN 5.0 Slight (P) Cream to off-white pages. Lex Luthor had a full head of hair way back when (didn't we all ...)! But this was Luthor's last hirsute issue before he lost the follicles in his next appearance in #10 of this title. Both Superman's co-creator Joe Shuster and the next great Supes artist, Wayne Boring, drew stories for this issue. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: spine splits sealed." Overstreet 2004 GD 2.0 value = $434; VG 4.0 value = $868; FN 6.0 value = $1,302.
