Description

Superman #3 (DC, 1940) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. Simply brilliant inks on the front cover of this early Superman issue. Joe Shuster drew the "faster than a locomotive" cover image, and also contributed interior art for the issue that is currently tied for the #83 spot on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. To date, just two copies have received higher grades from CGC. Overstreet 2021 VF 8.0 value = $12,200; VF/NM 9.0 value = $25,000. CGC census 1/22: 7 in 8.5, 2 higher.
