    Description

Superman #14 (DC, 1942) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white to white pages. One of the most iconic patriotic comic covers ever produced was this one, drawn by Fred Ray, and Overstreet notes "classic patriotic shield cover." The cover is also one of the toughest early Superman cover to locate in high grade, due to the black background, but this lovely copy has remained in very nice condition indeed! The book contains an ad for Sensation Comics #1, and interior art by Leo Nowak and John Sikela. Overstreet 2015 VF 8.0 value = $5,526. CGC census 8/15: 6 in 7.5, 18 higher. From the Calvin Slobodian Collection.
