Sub-Mariner Comics #18 (Timely, 1945) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white pages. We were very puzzled indeed why this wonderful copy carried a mere 7.0 designation. A look at the CGC graders' notes tells us "light staple rusted, small hole right center of hole book, very light spine stress lines"... if we look closely we see all of those things, but most collectors we know will focus more on the overall picture here. There's a wonderful underwater cover by Alex Schomburg, with baddies of an unnamed nationality trying to steal U.S. gold. Part of the #1 registry set of Sub-Mariner Comics. Overstreet 2024 FN 6.0 value = $900; VF 8.0 value = $1,920. CGC census 9/24: 6 in 7.0, 19 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
