Star Spangled Comics #7 Mile High Pedigree (DC, 1942) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. This Mile High copy displays all the qualities we've come to expect of the revered pedigree -- unbelievably bright, pristine cover colors, white pages, and a grade that's unmatched in CGC's census. This is the most valuable of all 130 issues of one of DC's most enduring Golden Age titles, owing to the origin and first appearance of the Guardian and the Newsboy Legion by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, as well as the first appearance of Robotman. The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books rates the issue a "7" ("scarce"), and only a handful of copies have been certified in grades above VF 8.0, with none but the Mile High scoring more than VF/NM 9.0. Gorgeous copy! Overstreet 2024 NM- 9.2 value = $16,500. CGC census 8/25: 1 in 9.4, none higher.CGC Grader Notes:
