Slam-Bang Comics #1 (Fawcett Publications, 1940) CGC VF 8.0 Off-white pages. A very cool run to collect is Slam-Bang. The issues have good covers (this one's by Gus Ricca), and they're early -- the only Fawcett issue with an earlier cover date is the first issue of Whiz! While several pedigree collections have included this issue, this is the best non-pedigree copy we've seen to date. The cover hero is Diamond Jack, wearer of both a double-breasted suit and more importantly a magic ring that gives him super-strength. CGC notes, "Very minor amount of glue on spine of cover." Overstreet 2019 VF 8.0 value = $1,734. CGC census 7/20: 2 in 8.0, 4 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
