Description
Silver Streak Comics #21 Mile High pedigree (Lev Gleason, 1942) Condition: VF/NM. This was the last issue of the title, which thereafter was converted into the first crime comic, Crime Does Not Pay with #22 (and yes, that's a plug for the Mile High copy of that book in this same catalog!). We hadn't offered this issue before, and CGC hasn't certified a copy as of this writing, so we'd say it's scarcer than it's given credit for. Adolf Hitler appears in the Saint story (which begins on the front cover)! Inside, there's a mix of features that includes a four-page Scoop Scuttle gag story drawn by Basil Wolverton. Crimebuster of Boy Comics appears in a text feature only. There's bug chew through the very tip of one corner of the book, but otherwise it's your basic sensational Edgar Church copy, likely the best surviving specimen. Overstreet 2006 VF/NM 9.0 value = $478; NM- 9.2 value = $650.From the John McLaughlin Collection.More information about Silver Streak Comics, and Silver Streak Comics #21 Comic Title.
