Police Comics #26 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Quality, 1944) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages. We were already thrilling to Jack Cole's dramatic use of lighting on this cover. Then we noticed the girl. Then we noticed the acid! Also noteworthy is that three great creators had a hand in the book, with Cole's Plastic Man joined by Will Eisner's Spirit as well as a six-pager featuring Harvey Kurtzman's Flatfoot Burns.
