Pocket Comics #1 (Harvey, 1941) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages. The highest-graded copy of the first issue of the first Harvey title. Note that we are offering a full run of the four issue title that started a comic empire, right here in this very sale. The issue features the origin and first appearance of the Black Cat, Cadet Blakey (the Spirit of '76), the Red Blazer, the Phantom, Sphinx, and the Zebra. Phantom Ranger, British Agent #99, Spin Hawkins, and Satan, Lord of Evil appear for the first time and begin runs in the title. Joe Simon cover and art. The pocket-size digest (5.25" x 7.25") contains 100 pages. Overstreet 2023 FN 6.0 value = $1,113; VF 8.0 value = $2,600. CGC census 11/23: 1 in 6.5, none higher.CGC Grader Notes:
