Pep Comics #38 (MLJ, 1943) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. The single highest-graded copy of #38. The Nazi war cover, starring the Shield, is by Alex Schomburg, and it covers Archie and Hangman backup stories. Bob Montana, Gil Kane, Irv Novick, and Bob Fujitani art. Hitler appearance. Overstreet 2021 VF 8.0 value = $1,754; VF/NM 9.0 value = $3,002. CGC census 9/21: 1 in 8.5, none higher. From the Pinnacle Hill Collection.
