Pep Comics #36 (MLJ, 1943) CGC GD 2.0 Brittle pages. Archie is riding high on the shoulders of The Shield and the Hangman, on this Bob Montana cover. This is only the third copy of #36 that we have had the good fortune to offer, and why is this book so significant? Well, this is the first cover appearance of Archie Andrews in this series, and the second "full" Archie cover overall after Archie #1. And it's an infinity cover to boot! Montana also added interior art for the issue. Appearances include The Shield, Captain Commando, Sgt. Boyle, Bently of Scotland Yard, and Danny in Wonderland. Irv Novick art.
