Pep Comics #36 (MLJ, 1943) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white pages. This is the first cover appearance of Archie in Pep Comics, and CGC notes it as an infinity cover by Bob Montana, who also added interior art. We have only offered one higher-graded copy in the past 15 years, and it was just a half-grade higher, at that! Appearances include The Shield and Captain Commando. Montana and Irv Novick art. Overstreet 2017 FN 6.0 value = $4,800; VF 8.0 value = $11,000. CGC census 2/18: 1 in 6.5, 4 higher. From the Steve Barghusen Collection.CGC Grader Notes:
