Nickel Comics #8 Allentown pedigree (Fawcett, 1940) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white pages. With an exciting Bulletman cover by Beck, and the pronouncement, "New Issue Every Other Friday", Nickel Comics seemed set to compete with the Big Boys of the comics world in 1940. Obviously the title limited their profit potential, and when that light bulb went on in the collective heads of Fawcett's management, they abruptly ended the title run right here. Fortunately, Bulletman would fly again elsewhere. This is a wonderful copy from a respected pedigree. Overstreet 2002 NM 9.4 value = $950.
