New York World's Fair Comics #nn (1939 Edition) (DC, 1939) CGC VG+ 4.5 Cream to off-white pages. Here is a historical book with an interesting story behind it. Offered for sale at the 1939 New York World's Fair, this book did not sell well for the then-outrageous cover price of twenty-five cents. Because of the low sales, the price was later reduced to fifteen cents, at which time sales increased. To compensate the buyers who had sent their quarters through the mail, everyone was sent a free Superman #1 or #2 to make up the difference of the price change. This is a great-condition copy of a fairly rare book, with no major defects beyond a few small creases and tiny chips missing around the edge. Here is an opportunity to own a nice solid unrestored copy. Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $2,100; FN 6.0 value = $6,300.
