National Comics #5 (Quality, 1940) CGC FN+ 6.5 White pages. Lou Fine provides another fantastic Uncle Sam cover for this series, with female bondage, "headlights," and a bizarre axe-wielding skull-creature. This comic contains the origin of Uncle Sam, the last appearance of the Cyclone, and artwork by John Celardo, George Tuska, and Dan Zolnerowich. It also has the first appearance of Quicksilver, who would be reintroduced by DC in 1993 as Max Mercury, in the pages of Flash. The CGC holder has a crack at the bottom right corner. Overstreet 2003 FN 6.0 value = $450.
