More Fun Comics #72 (DC, 1941) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. Outrageous copy of an issue that spotlights The Spectre and Dr. Fate (with his new helmet), and a Nazi war cover by Howard Sherman. Many of the early issues of DC's oldest comic series -- it started as New Fun Comics in 1936 -- are considered rare, especially in high grade, and while this issue isn't considered particularly rare, it's notable that only 18 copies have been certified by CGC to date, most of which have graded 6.0 and less. Expect this beauty to go for at least double Overstreet's listed 9.2 value. Sherman and Bernard Baily art. Overstreet 2017 NM- 9.2 value = $4,700. CGC census 8/17: 2 in 9.6, none higher.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 700762012 and purchase grader's notes if available.
