More Fun Comics #55 (DC, 1940) CGC Apparent PR 0.5 Slight (C-1) Cream to off-white pages. First appearance of Doctor Fate. Spectre cover by Bernard Baily. Baily and Howard Sherman art. Overstreet lists as "scarce", and The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books rates it a "7" on its scarcity index. Currently ranked at #73 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: small amount of color touch on cover, glue on cover. (Tape on cover) (Centerfold missing, affects story.) Centerfold is a color copy. Incomplete".
