Master Comics #5 (Fawcett Publications, 1940) Condition: FN. This oversized comic (10.25" x 14.25") is a tough find in any grade, and this solid mid-grade copy is by far the highest graded copy that we have ever seen! Overstreet calls this copy "rare" as does Gerber's Photo-Journal Guide, and Overstreet notes, "#1-6 rarely found in Near Mint or Very Fine condition due to large size format." It features a Master Man cover, appearances by Devil's Dagger, the White Rajah, El Carim the Master of Magic (that's "miracle" spelled backwards!), Frontier Marshal, and Shipwreck Roberts. Ken Battefield art. Bears a "Checking Copy" stamp on the front cover, so this was most probably a Fawcett File Copy. Overstreet 2017 FN 6.0 value = $696.
