Marvel Mystery Comics #82 (Timely, 1947) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white to white pages. This key issue featured the origin and first appearance of Namora (she would later earn her own Timely series), as well as an appearance by Captain America and the Young Allies. The cover is by Bob Powell, and the interior art is by Jimmy Thompson, Syd Shores, Ken Bald, Charles Nicholas, and Al Gabriele. Note that due to the printing process, #82 is usually not as red as other issues in the series, appearing light orange instead, making this copy really stand out. Overstreet 2005 VF/NM 9.0 value = $2,666; NM- 9.2 value = $3,600. CGC census 6/05: 1 in 9.0, 3 higher.
