Marvel Mystery Comics #5 (Timely, 1940) CGC Apparent FN- 5.5 Extensive (P) Cream to off-white pages. Overstreet notes this issue's "classic Alex Schomburg Torch cover, his first ever." Gerber and Overstreet both rate this issue as "scarce." The Human Torch story features art by Carl Burgos, the Angel's feature is rendered by Paul Gustavson, and the Sub-Mariner story is by Bill Everett. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, reinforced." Overstreet 2013 GD 2.0 value = $2,700; VG 4.0 value = $5,400; FN 6.0 value = $8,100.
