Marvel Mystery Comics #34 (Timely, 1942) CGC NM 9.4 Cream to off-white pages. If you can tear your eyes away from CGC's incredible grade, notice that Toro's in trouble yet again, about to be sliced and diced by a monster mad-scientist's sadistic torture device. What a great WWII-era cover by Alex Schomburg! Carl Burgos and Syd Shores contribute story art inside on the Human Torch and the Vision, respectively, and this issue also has Sub-Mariner, Angel, and Patriot stories. As an added bonus, Bill Everett, Carl Burgos, and Martin Goodman battle Hitler in one story and there's a text feature by Mickey Spillane. This is easily the highest-graded copy of issue #34 that CGC has certified to date, and without a doubt one of the freshest-looking 1942 Timelys we've ever seen!
