Marvel Mystery Comics #13 Recil Macon pedigree (Timely, 1940) CGC VG 4.0 Off-white to white pages. After meeting in Victor Fox's office, Simon and Kirby teamed up to begin one of the most lucrative, influential partnerships in comicdom. Quickly finding their niche at Timely, the two created such characters as Marvel Boy and Captain Daring before introducing a more popular character this issue, named the Vision (who would enjoy a revival in the 1960s). This copy is high grade, exhibiting the characteristic signature in the logo, but suffers from a cut on the back cover. Perfect for the cost-conscious collector. Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $446; FN 6.0 value = $1,338.
