    Marvel Mystery Comics #11 Recil Macon Pedigree (Timely, 1940) CBCS VF+ 8.5 Off-white pages. Alex Schomburg's wartime covers are always spectacular even when he didn't have the entire cover to work with. Even a "normal" issue of this title, one that rates no special mention in Overstreet, is the stuff of comic legends, with Schomburg's cover, and Bill Everett, Carl Burgos, and Paul Gustavson working inside on the Sub-Mariner, the Human Torch, and the Angel respectively. This beautiful pedigree specimen, with a Nazi War cover sits near the top of the highest-graded copies. Overstreet 2016 VF 8.0 value = $3,475; VF/NM 9.0 value = $6,138. CGC census 11/16: 1 in 8.5, 5 higher.
