Flash Comics #4 (DC, 1940) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. It's still the dawn of the heroic era with this choice early issue of a Golden Age DC mainstay. It's a real keeper, too as the talented Sheldon Moldoff begins his most well-known feature, Hawkman, with this issue. For the coveted cover spot, the now-forgotten character the Whip takes center stage, drawn in a very cartoony style by Ed Wheelan. Soon, these covers would alternate between Hawkman and the Flash. This very attractive comic is just a couple of books shy from being the top-graded copy to date by CGC. Overstreet 2003 FN 6.0 value = $1,260; VF 8.0 value = $2,625.
