Flash Comics #104 (DC, 1949) CGC VF 8.0 Off-white pages. Joe Kubert's classy cover highlights this issue, which, as the final issue of a historic run, gave a clear sign that the Golden Age was drawing to an end. Curiously, the origin of the Flash was retold in this issue. Of course, the World's Fastest Human would return after a seven-year hiatus in Showcase #4 and kick off the Silver Age of Comics. The highest grade CGC has assigned a copy of this issue to date is Very Fine Plus, and only one such copy has graded higher than this rarity from 1949. Overstreet gives the book a "scarce" rating. Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $4,100.
