Exciting Comics #9 (Nedor/Better/Standard, 1941) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages. The best copy we've ever offered, by a full grade, of a really tough book! It's the first appearance of the Black Terror. The character, who later starred in his own title, benefited from one of the most striking costumes of the Golden Age. Considered one of Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics. And who could argue, considering all that this book has to offer, including the Elmer Wexler bondage cover! CGC notes, "1 piece of tape on interior cover." Overstreet 2013 FN 6.0 value = $3,300; VF 8.0 value = $8,250. CGC census 5/14: 2 in 6.5, 4 higher.
