Exciting Comics #9 (Nedor, 1941) CGC VF 8.0 Off-white to white pages. This is by far the nicest copy that we have ever seen of the Black Terror's first appearance. It also appears to be the highest-graded copy ever to come to public auction. Prior to this, we had never seen a copy top FN+ 6.5. The train-stopping bondage cover is by Elmer Wexler, this copy proudly displaying it in very bright cover inks. Overstreet 2014 VF 8.0 value = $8,250. CGC census 11/14: 2 in 8.0, 2 higher. From the Prospect Mountain Collection.
