Detective Comics #69 The Promise Collection Pedigree (DC, 1942) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white to white pages. This black cover issue is a tough find in high grade, and easily shows every little flaw. It's a good thing that there are almost none of those flaws on this second highest-graded copy. The Jerry Robinson "Joker-in-a-bottle" cover features Batman and Robin in a tight spot. This issue has seen a steady climb in value, and sits just outside of Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics, poised to reach the Top 100 soon. Joe Simon, Jack Kirby, and Bob Kane art. Overstreet 2020 VF/NM 9.0 value = $20,400; NM- 9.2 value = $28,000. CGC census 6/21: 3 in 9.0, 1 higher.
