Detective Comics #38 Recil Macon pedigree (DC, 1940) CGC FR/GD 1.5 Cream to off-white pages. Robin the Boy Wonder bursts onto the scene with this cover by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson. The origin story contained in this issue details how Dick Grayson becomes Robin thus bringing to life the Dynamic Duo that would amuse a generation in the 1960s TV show. CGC notes, "moderate amount of tape on spine." While this copy may be the worst graded CGC copy to date, it is completely unrestored and has good eye-appeal, and it won't cost you all the gold in Gotham to get your hands on it! Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $3,214.
