Description

Detective Comics #38 (DC, 1940) CGC VG 4.0 Cream to off-white pages. A huge book in the hobby, this is the first appearance of Master Dick Grayson, henceforth to be known as Robin, the Boy Wonder -- the original sidekick. The central cover image is intact and clean, and the cover inks are bright and unfaded. This is a decent, respectable copy. Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson provided the cover and interior art, and Fred Guardineer added interior art as well. We expect this book to realize well over Guide value when it goes to the podium. Overstreet 2017 VG 4.0 value = $20,000. CGC census 11/17: 3 in 4.0, 20 higher.
